Hi Lisa~ I'm not Nikki but live about an hour from Tyler, and know there's a Barnes & Noble here:

Would love to come to one of your signings. Your blog and recipes are just terrific! Keep up the good work.

Oops, I meant Donna, not Nikki, for the Tyler info.

I don't s'pose you'd consider detouring just a little to come to Prince of Wales Island, Alaska? We all love Mexican/TexMex food.

I was wondering if your events in Abilene were multi-author events 'cause I smiled at the thought of a Lisa Fain/Tom Perini interface.

Anon--I'd love to!

Lynn--Thank you for this. I'll forward this to my publisher! I'm back in Texas in October and maybe we can make something happen.

Jackie--I've never been to Alaska but I would love to visit!

Alan--Tom's a great guy! I don't know if I'll see him this trip, but I've always wanted to attend his Buffalo Gap summit.

If you have a chance, try Hidalgo's in San Angelo. The pechuga a la mexicana is to die for.

I just came across your site and spent at least the last 30 minutes looking at recipes and your About page.

I just had to comment, as I'm also a very homesick Texan. I finally visited Houston and Port Aransas/Corpus Christi last week after being away since 2000. (Even went to the Texans season opener!)

Anyway, awesome site, and awesome memories looking at your recipes!

Lisa, I just wanted to thank you for the handwritten post-it my mom got from you in Silsbee this past weekend. The books were all sold out, but it was so nice of you to offer the little note. She said you were super nice and very appreciative. I knew you would be. Thanks again! Homesick Texan in Florida.

You might consider a Davis event! :)

Sorry I missed you in San Angelo, hope you didn't get trampled in HEB . The prime steaks and fresh orange juice are worth the risk.I have to agree with anonymous about Hildagos, their deluxe dinner is a slice of heaven. Hope to catch you next time, keep writing and cooking.
