While Labor Day traditionally marks the end of summer, because it’s so late this year it already feels like fall has begun. That said, a long weekend is always a cause for celebration and no matter if you’re spending it on the road, relaxing at the beach, or gathering with friends to watch football, you need to eat. And if you’re looking for ideas on what to make, here’s an index of Labor Day recipes to help get you started.
There are chile con quesos, such as Bob Armstrong Dip.
There are chilis, such as this one-hour chili, which is perfect for Frito Pie.
Because the bounty of summer is still in full swing, there are plenty of salads such as this tomato and cucumber salad with cornbread croutons.
And you'll find plenty of sweet treats, such as this lemon-lime icebox pie.

Also, many of you have asked if I’m on Pinterest. Indeed I am and I’ve created a Labor Day menu board, too.
