One time when I was passing through Del Rio, I spotted a charming restaurant on the outskirts of town. Feeling hungry, I decided to stop for lunch. When I walked inside, the place was empty except for two women rolling silverware. Usually, that’s not a good sign but there was an inviting aroma of tomatoes, jalapeños, and fried corn tortillas. The women smiled at me and since the room had a friendly feel, I asked if they were still open and they said yes.
