Green chile macaroni and cheese
On a recent call to my mom, she told me she was in Taos, New Mexico. She’s been retired for a couple of years, and my brother and I joke that we never know where she’ll turn up in the world. She loves to travel, and we’re all thrilled that she’s finally getting to spend time in all her favorite places.
Since New Mexico is close to Texas, she visits there a few times a year. Often, she’ll return loaded with spices and dried chiles to share. Sometimes, however, she’ll get . . .
