Turkey chili Frito pie

When a friend threw a late-fall party, she served turkey Frito pies. Her husband is unable to eat red meat, so the family has become quite adept at replacing beef with turkey.

Now, some chili purists may scoff at the notion of a turkey bowl of red. That said, when you ladle turkey chili onto a bed of crunchy corn chips, then top it with shredded Cheddar, diced onions, and pickled jalapeños, you do not miss the beef.
