Rosemary candied bacon bowties
A friend asked if I was familiar with bacon bowties. Not sure what they were talking about, I asked for more explanation. She said it was an old Southern snack where you took rectangular club crackers and wrapped the middle in a piece of bacon. As it slowly cooked in the oven, the bacon constricted the cracker in the center and it looked like a bowtie when done.
While I’d never heard of this savory treat known as a bowtie, I was very familiar with bacon-wrapped crackers.
