Five years ago, my aunt and uncle were married in Oak Cliff. The night before the wedding, we had dinner at El Corazón, a Tex-Mex restaurant that focused on the classics. It was an excellent choice, as my entire family loves Tex-Mex.

The owners were the Cuellar family who had started El Chico. In fact, the restaurant had originally been an El Chico in an earlier incarnation, and it was one that my family had visited many times in the early 1970s. That night, both the food and the memories were enjoyed. The word corazón means . . .
