Table salsa, North Houston style

If you’ve ever been to Soto’s Cantina in the North Houston suburb of Cypress, then you may be familiar with their table salsa. It’s a blend of chunky tomatoes, peppers, and aromatics swimming in a smooth salsa. While it’s not overly complicated, its earthy, spicy flavor is addicting. I can eat a whole bowl with my basket of tortilla chips. 

At first, I lamented that this wonderful restaurant did not offer Houston’s signature creamy green . . .
