Green chile tater tot casserole
Over the summer, when people have shared dishes they’ve made, one intriguing concoction has made several repeat appearances: tater tot casserole. Even though it’s often not the prettiest dish on display and it's certainly not the most sophisticated, whenever it’s shared people go wild.
Now, I’d always associated tater tot casseroles, which are an assemblage of frozen potato puffs blended with meat and held together with melted cheese and canned soups, to be a Midwestern specialty.
