Shrimp scampi
“Please pick up some linguine,” said my friend Jeff as my friends and I headed to a grocery store in the Florida Panhandle. “And get two pounds of local Gulf shrimp. I’m making shrimp scampi for dinner.”
A small group of us were at Jeff’s vacation home in Florida, spending a lazy week solving jigsaw puzzles, floating in the pool, admiring the sky, and bathing in the saltwater, sand, and sun. Save for a mid-week rainstorm, it was a perfect seven days.
While we went out to restaurants a couple of times . . .
